  Notes	Shown as the father of Elizabeth in Vivian (Devon Visitations), showing that the 1620 vis. described her as 'Elizabeth, Da. of Sr. John Sidnam', and Vivian has added 'of Brimpton in Com. Somerset, Kt.'. A Sir John Sydenham of Brimpton left a will proved in 1557, in which he mentions his eldest son John, and other sons Henry, John the younger, Walter and George, also an unmarried daughter Ann and a wife Ursula. I suspect that this was Elizabeth's father. He doesn't mention anything about the sons inheriting when they reached a certain age, which would suggest they were already at least 21, and so he was unlikely to have been Elizabeth's brother, though it is possible if she was a younger child in a large family. Looking at the Somerset visitation seems to add weight to this Sir John being Elizabeth's father, as it shows Elizabeth daughter of Sir John and Anne [sic] Bridges having children including most of those named in the will.
