  	In the 1851 census Ann was described as a foundling, and was with John and Sarah and their family. I guess she was fostered by John and Sarah. Whether she stayed with John after his wife died in 1852 I don't know; it must have been difficult to cope with a young family anyway, and the children may have gone to relations, or a relation moved in to look after them. In any case, whatever arrangement was made it would not have lasted long for Ann, as she died the following year.
