  	"Bilting, Edward, of S. John in Thanet, cordwainer. ba., 25, and Thomasine Lovell of Herne, spr., 24. At Herne. Thos. Stephens of Herne, yeom., bonds. April 9, 1681." (from Cowper, 4th series, col 56) In 1636 a Thomazin Lovewell of Herne had married Francis Stevens. It doesn't appear there were many Lovewell / Lovell etc. events in Herne, so the earlier marriage was quite likely this Thomasin's aunt and Thomas Stephens the bondsman may well have been a cousin.

  	The age on the marriage licence (as transcribed by Cooper) suggests a Thomasin about 3 years older than this one but I think it most likely was the same Thomasin, the surname was not very common in Herne.
