Gender Female Also known as Millicent THOMPSON Name 1962 Return to use of surname from previous marriage - The 1939 register shows a change back to the surname Thompson in 1962, the year in which her second husband remarried, the change being dated 22 Jan, some months before the marriage. It seems that this was a change back to reusing her former married name. There is no marriage of Millicent to a Thompson to suggest the change was due to her remarrying, or another change to suggest she remarried subsequently.
This seems an ususual move, perhaps prompted by a lasting love for her first husband, and / or it being her son's surname, possibly also that is was inconveneint to have a different name to her son, and it was not inconvenient to stop using Goatham, as she had no children by that marriage.
