      "March 23d Then was Maried Edward Sh[er?]ner & Elizabeth Heywood" - under heading 'Easter 1688', seems to mean 1687/8, though whichever it meant it was before Easter! I suspect the register was written up after Easter and a mistake made.(FMP index has Edward SHAWER to Elizabeth HEYWOOD, letter after 'h' in groom's surname not clear, but I think the name is Sh*ner - could be Sherner)
