Notes - (Research):Despite marrying in 1670 and having children baptised in Sherford between 1671 and 1677 (at least) Richard does not appear in the 1674 hearth tax. I am guessing that the family may have lived with Nicholas Simpter [sic] who is listed, probably Richard's father.
There is also no sign of Sim(e)on who died about 1683; possibly he was a brother of Richard, also living with his father? Or Nicholas's father, also living with the family? Probably not Nicholas' father, as I think he was most likely the Nicholas baptised in the parish in 1608, son of another Nicholas.
Maybe a brother of Nicholas, could have been with the Sumpter family, or could have been with a married daughter.
