Mayor of the Borough of Dunheved - I guess it was this John who was mayor, though I haven't really looked at the Estcott family.
List on the Launceston then! website shows 'John Estcott' as Mayor for the year 1614-5, following in the footsteps of his father. There was a change of mayor each year in the borough at this time, but with the same names performing the office again a few years later. A John was mayor again, but not untill 1637-8. Whether it was the same or another I don't know.
