    Mother Elizabeth HENLEY,   b. Abt 1601,   d. 19 Aug 1636  (Age ~ 35 years)
    Married Between 1614 and 1625
    • Date: estimated from (earlieset date) Richard's mother Faith Ellesdon was not married when her father wrote his will in 1599 and (latest date) Elizabeth had had 10 children by the time she died in 1636.

It seems likely 7 of the children, 3 sons and 4 daughters, died young. I wonder if 2 Roses buried in Winsham were two of these - Hanna, buried 3 July 1636 and Richard, buried 'October 22th' 1638.
Which children were of Richard with Elizabeth née Henley?
Elizabeth's father mentions John and 2 other sons (unnamed) - under 21 when he wrote his will on 13 March 1638/9. Her mother also mentioned 3 sons but names them all - John, William and Henry.
No Rose granddaughters mentioned, and Richard's will suggests all his daughters were under 18 when he wrote it, and so born no earlier than 1637. Both Richard's will and his mother'ss, therefore, suggest all the daughters of Richard were by a subsequent wife.
