  	GRO ref: Gibson, William J aged 40 q4 1910 Croydon RD 2a 220 Censuses indicate that William died between the 1901 and 1911 censuses. This is the only William J(ohn) on FreeBMD between these dates likely to be this William. There were only a couple of other William Johns who could be this William and they died in the north of England. Croydon RD included Mitcham, where William's widow and daughter were living a few months later at the time of the census.

RD 1a 976 Although a widow Georgina filled in the marriage info on the 1911 census, showing that she and William had had 4 children, 2 of whom had by then died (and only Emily was with her). Daughter Georgina married in Mitcham in 1925, suggesting that the other 2 children had been born and died between the censuses (with a large number, probably a majority, of children who died dying before their first birthday this is not surprising).The family clearly moved about a fair bit - after marrying in St George Hanover Sq RD in 1896 they were in Staines RD in 1897, Hendon RD at the time of the 1901 census, Emily was born in Fulham RD in 1902 andWilliam died in Croydon RD, where his widow and a daughter lived in 1911. Just looking at children who were born and died in Staines, Hendon, Fulham and Croydon RDs between 1901 and 1911 (on FreeBMD, as at 29 Feb 2016) there are more than 2 that could be children of William and Georgina so it is not possible to name them from this source.
