  Notes	(Research):Probably the John Smith who married by licence: "Smith, John, of Faversham, cordwainer, ba., and Mary Goatly of Molash, w. At Chilham, M., Ospringe or Preston n. F. June 29, 1705." (Cowper, 5th series) A Susan dau of John Smith was bur in Faversham on 1 July 1709 - could be dau of this John If the above licence was for the marr of this John, then this is his wife's burial: "May 1st [1706] Mary wife of John Smith Shoemaker" Several burials of John Smiths that could be this one, and a couple of wills (from index entries) One possible is of a John of London and Ospringe who left a bequest to the poor of Faversham, and is mentioned on the Benefactions board in Faversham Church

  	From PR entry (image on FMP, viewed 30 Nov 2015) "[Aprill] 25 John Smith & Susan Knight" - under heading '1675' So far as I am aware I am not a blood relation of John or his wife and family. They are on my tree because: 1. the 3rd wife of my likely ancestor Michael Rickson, Mary [maiden name unknown], described the sons of John and Susanna as 'cozen' and left them bequests of £10 each in her will (written 1695) 2. Mary also described Susanna as 'cozen' and made her executrix of her will 2. Michael Rickson himself described John and Susanna's son George Smith as 'my very Good Friend' and made him one of the executors of his will.
