I don't know what became of the William baptised c. 1622 but there seems no further sign of him in Hastingleigh so I don't think it was that William.

I have a copy of the register copy, but as it had to have the bequest to Richard added at the side I will aim to see the original on my next visit to Kent (probably in 2016) in case there were other omissions / differences

Probate 18 Feb 1715/16 Died - Living when his father wrote his will on 20 Jan 1680/1.
I believe it was this William, son of Richard, who was of Wye in 1715 when he wrote his will - this William had a brother Abraham, the will writer gave that fairly unusual name to a son; the will writer's wife was Sarah and a William and Sarah farmed in Hastingleigh consistent with being the son and daughter-in-law of Richard.
