Richard HALKE
Set As Default Person -
Name Richard HALKE Relationship
with Teresa Ann GOATHAM Baptised 17 Mar 1592/93 All Saints’ Church, Petham, Kent, England
- Christopher lists his 5 children in his will and this includes a Richard. I haven't come across the baptism of a Richard son of Christopher in Petham (using indexes - FMP and KFHS) but there appears to be this baptism of Richard Hauk son of Richard - was that an error and Richard this one?

Five children whose baptisms I have seen match the 5 named in Christopher's will, so it looks like there were no others who survived him.

Family Priscilla VATER, d. Yes, date unknown Married 1625 St. Mary Magdalene’s Church, Canterbury, Kent, England
- Date and place assumed from marriage licence.
I have no evidence to confirm that it was this Richard but the age on the marriage licence is consistent with the baptism and there is no further sign of Richard in Petham so it seems likely.
Marriage License 23 Jun 1625 - Hawke, Richard. of S. M. Bredman's, Cant., innholder, widr., 33, and Priscilla Vater of S. M. Magdalene, Cant., maiden, about 24, d.of [blank] Vater, alias Rufforth, of Cant., who consents. At S. M. Magd. Charles Colfe of S. Mildred's, Cant., g., bonds. June 23, 1625.
