His daughter Elizabeth had been buried three weeks earlier, and although there was no comment about this in the register a number of burials at this time ha dcomments such as 'the sonne of ... latelye deceassed' - it appears there were several instances of more than one person in a house dying in quick succession, so some infection must have been carrying people off.
