    Notes
    • Haven't managed to find Catherine in 1841 - not with her father.

      In Higher Street, Dartmouth (1861) with sons George and John;
      living in Hanover Square, Dartmouth (1871).
      Catherine, is shown as a 50 year old (sic) widow, housekeeper to George Lidstone (master jeweller, aged 70), still in Dartmouth in 1881.

      As I'd previously speculated she might have, I've now found that Catherine did followed her sons and brother and emigrate; at the time of the 1891 she as well as her son George were living with her brother George in Ontario (her son had been there in 1881).
