    • (Research):A Margery Mortimore married William Pope in Stokenham on 2 Mar 1646/47. Was it this Margery?
      The previous marriage of a William Pope in Stokenham appears to have been 1625 (to an Elizabeth), and the next not until 1671, judging by the index on FMP. Children of a William were baptised 1650, 1652, 1657, 1659, 1661; the last child of Wm and Elizabeth was bapt 1640 and there were no more baptisms of a child of a Willam Pope until 1650. It seems probable they were the children of William and Margery, but it unlikely (though just possible) that Margery baptised 1609 was still having children in 1661.
