    Notes
    • Willesborough, where her husband was a husbandman, is on the edge of Ashford, about half way between Chartham, where her father grew up and Burmarsh, where Margery grew up.
She may well have met Daniel through his occupation being the same as her father, or given that the latter had moved around the 2 familes may have at one time lived closer to each other and thus been in contact.

Why was she buried in Burmarsh? - perhaps they moved there after marrying, although as Daniel was already a husbandman of Willesborough it would seem more likely they had settled there. She may have died suddenly when visiting her sister or step-mother, or gone there for them to nurse her in her illness.
Given that she had been married about a year, she may of course have been pregnant and  gone to them for her confinement, only to die as a result of her pregnancy or childbirth.
    • (Research):If dates are correct Margery was either not the dau of Annes, or baptised sometime after her birth.

    The will of John Goatham (c. 1566 - 1622)
    The will of John Goatham (c. 1566 - 1622)
Margery's father's will - as well as being a beneficiary he appointed her executrix, though he also appointed 3 overseers to assist her with her task. She was only aged about 23 so probably quite inexperienced at the sort of thing needed.
It's hard to know how much Margery inherited since her father left her all the residue after other bequests of fixed sumes of money or household items.
Sadly she would have been unable to carry out all of her father's wishes. Her sister Margaret was only 14…
