  Notes	(Research):A William Penny's name appears at the bottom of the 1713 marriages as a churchwarden; it appears to be in the same hand as the entries and the name of the curate and other churchwarden - I suspect it was not William's signature (probably written by the curate, or else the other churchwarden Mr Osmond Mordan; whoever it was was writing quotes in Latin from Virgil and Ovid at the top of the pages!)
