    Cause: Drowned
    • Six days before George's burial one William Steer had been buried in Stokenham. The circumstances were similar: both men were aged 36, lived in Hallsands and William Steer also drowned off the Start.

It seems too much to be co-incidence, although 6 days is a large gap for the burial of two people who had died at the same time. Maybe this reflects the bodies washing up at a different time. The sea had claimed another victim.
