Probably a child of Philip and Elizabeth if I am right that Philip was the one from West Alvington, and they were the only Trants in the area.
But I could be wrong about this.

Three children of this couple were buried between the baptisms of William in 1778 and Sarah in 1784. I have not yet browsed the register for baptisms, but 2 different transcriptions lack baptisms for these children. I suspect that they were buried so soon after birth they had not been baptised, or that they were baptised at home and the priest neglected to write it in the register.
(The 2 sets of transcriptions are those by FMP and those by David Horwill, in the SOG database)
