Gender Male Marriage Settlement 1531 Of Alice Smyth - his sister? - An Edmond Smyth of Charleton was party to a marriage settlement for Alice, wife of Thomas Wodmanston and daughter of John Smyth of Charleton. I am guessing that John was probably dead, hence Edmond's involvement; if it was the same Edmund who died in 1572, i.e. young enough to live another 41 years, then I suspect he was the brother of the Alice involved.
