    • The DFHS Woodleigh Deanery CD shows there was also a marriage of a DENNIS, John to SUMPTER, Mary in E Allington on 3 Aug 1761, but as the Charleton marriage shows Mary as of Charleton I think it was much more likely to be this one. Also the Mary who married John Elliot gave a daughter the relatively unusual name Cecilia, like Mary's mother.
