    • ** n.b. I am only guessing that John is the son of Solomon and Susanna **
      The fact he named a son Solomon strongly suggests he was descended from the branch starting with Solomon bapt 1712.
      This would mean he wasn't closely related to one Northmore family in Tamerton, that of James Northmore and Elizabeth nee March.
      That he was a son of Solomon and Susanna seems much more likely, especially as they married in 1810 and I don't know of a child born before 1815, although John's age as given in the 1841 census suggests he was born about 1808/09. Maybe he exaggerated slightly to appear older than his wife.
      His family were listed immediately before the Solomon I believe was the son of Solomon and Susanna in the 1841 census, suggesting they might well be closely related.
