  	GRO ref: Barker, John to      ELLIOT, Sarah q1 1841 Kingsbridge RD 9 395 Since John's wife Sarah Issell appears to have died in 1838, yet he had a wife named Sarah at the time of the 1841 census it would seem he had remarried. But there seems to be no marriage of a John PARKER to a Sarah in the period 1838 - 1841. Looking at all marriages of a John to a Sarah, 1838-1841, in Kingsbridge RD, the above is the only close one. It appears to be an error in the index (it is a typed copy - maybe the original was not clear?) as the PR entry is clearly Parker. "John Parker, of full age, widower, Labourer, residence: South Pool, father: James Parker, Labourer to Sarah Elliott, of full age, Spinster, [no occupation shown], residence: South Pool, father: John Elliott, Farmer by H Taylor between { John Parker X his Mark, Sarah Elliott [Sarah signed] in the Presence of { Thomas Frost, Eliza Elliott [both signed]"
