    • An Honour Wakeham was born in Charleton on 2 July 1655. But was she 'my' Honour Wakeham?

      FindMyPast show an Honor Wakham marrying in Slapton in 1676 so is the Honour whose birth was recorded in Charleton that Honor or this one? Looking at that entry it is far from clear that it is Honor Wakham. However, there WAS an Honour Wakeham who married in Charleton in 1683.
      I think it has to be more likely that that was the marriage of the Honour born there, though it is possible it was this Honour.
      There is probably no surviving evidence to confirm one way or the other. It is unfortunate that my Honour was probably born during the period when the disruption of the Civil War, of clergy imposed and the interregnum means that many PR entries are missing. In addition, not all PRs survive back this far (e.g. Sherford) and there were no BTs during the interregnum.
