Notes - (Research):Who was the William who was bur at Teynham on 29 Sep 1840? - his age as recorded in the burial register (18 years and 5 months) - suggesting a birth year of 1822 - can't have been the son of Thomas (his son Wm born that year later married), so probably the son of Theodore or of William. (The marriage I have for Wm wasn't until 1824 but the PR entry doesn't show if he was a bachelor, so could have been from an earlier marriage)

- There was a marriage of a Thomas Beacon to Martha Croft on 19 Nov 1786 at Bobbing (by banns) - was it this couple, Martha being a widow?
I'm now fairly sure it was. Martha's will shows her brother was a Roper, and a Martha Roper of Bredgar married William Craft (by licence) on 24 Oct 1773 of a William Craft to Martha Roper of Bredgar at Tunstall.
Both Thomas and Martha were buried at Bobbing so they clearly had a link with that village.
