    • Probably between 1847 and 1851:
      His wife was a widow at the time of the 1851 census when the youngest child in the household was shown as aged 2 so the death was probably in or after 1847.
      That assumes he was father of the child, which seems probable. However,
      1. it is far from unknown for widows to have illegitimate children
      2. the child is shown as grandchild to her father, as he was head of the household. Given that there were numerous Northmore = Horton marriages in Cornwood etc. it is possible one or more of the grandchildren were the children of another daughter.
