      1901 census (Canadian) gives date of birth as 27 Dec 1848 but this is out of line with all others records, and George's age has been changed - presumably to fit with the dob, the age rather than the year having been assumed to have an error. There seems no obvious reason why George would have lied - his wife was born in 1840 so it wasn't to suggest his age was closer to hers.
