On 16 Jan 1709/10 a James was baptised, son of James & Sarah, with a birthdate shown as 31 May 1692 - close to, though not identical to, that shown in 1692/3.
Too close for them both to be sons of the same James and Sarah, and no sign of a second couple with the same names at the same time.

And who was bur in Staplehurst in 1760.
If so, he was most likely the one for whom with his wife Elizabeth and dau Sarah a settlement certificate was provided by Staplehurst to Marden (I think, else the other way around; only seen index entry on KFHS CD 11 and not sure how to read it!)
Since Sarah does not appear to have been baptised in Staplehurst I wondered if she was baptised in Marden. No sign of her, but in 1750 there was: "1750 May 10 Constant D of James & Mary GRIGSBY"
Mary COULD be a mistake for Elizabeth, but if it was the one who got married in 1713 I think she would be too old to have children by 1750!
And dau Elizabeth may be the Elizabeth Grigsby who marr Edward Gandy in Staplehurst in 1739/40.
