      Looking at Newspaper Archives on FMP (as at 6 Jan 2013) failed to show anything. The Devon FHS epidemics booklet just shows 1859 was a bad year for diphtheria.

Was this a mistake and it should have shown Richard rather than William, or was she not their child but maybe a niece of a cousin's child?
