Looking at Newspaper Archives on FMP (as at 6 Jan 2013) failed to show anything. The Devon FHS epidemics booklet just shows 1859 was a bad year for diphtheria.

An Ann who fits is one baptised Decr. 25 1807 in Milton Abbot, but she is shown as daughter of William and Ann Coram. Was this a mistake and it should have shown Richard rather than William, or was she not their child but maybe a niece of a cousin's child?
