    Notes
    • (Research):Two marriages of John Blanchard(s), widower(s) at Holy Cross Church (where this John's dau was bapt and 1st wife buried) - 1792 to Margaret Chidwick (widow) and 1793 to Elizabeth Cassel (widow) : both him or one him and one another John?

From KFHS CD17: Banns for marr to Margaret Chidwick at Holy Cross and St Alpheges, suggesting Margaret was of the latter; for marr to Elizabeth only at Holy Cross - both otp or Eliz. from a parish outside of Canterbury? - need to chk PRs for more info.

Margaret's 1st marr not on Cant CD, so maiden name (which could give clue to age) not known.
Elizabeth could be an Elizabeth who married a Castle - a common name in Canterbury. In 1778 an Eliz Kingsford marr John Castle (St Margarets), in 1788 an Eliz Hooker marr John Castle at St Alphege's. Could well be one of these.
