Isaac BLANCHARD
Set As Default Person -
Name Isaac BLANCHARD Relationship
with Teresa Ann GOATHAM Baptised 27 Nov 1763 St. Mary Northgate Church, Canterbury, Kent, England
- From KFHS CD 17 issue2 - Isaac Blanchard, son of Jacob & Judith
Gender Male Died Yes, date unknown Buried - An Isaac was buried at St. Alphege on 30 Aug 1765 - could be this Isaac, but in 1754 an Isaac Blanchar, tailor, had been made a freeman of Canterbury. I suspect he was the father or, most likely, the brother of Jacob (like Jacob, he lived in the Cathedral precincts) and I guess that this Isaac was named after him (or a common ancestor) - the 1765 could be the death of Isaac the tailor.
(Isaac-the-tailor became a freeman by marriage - the freemen book does not show to whom - but since he was marrying just 2 years before Jacob it is more likely he was Jacob's brother. The marriage was in the Cathedral, the Register Booke shows Isaac married one Dorothy Beverton by licence o 23 June 1754; both were of the Cath precincts.)
