Bartholomew (“Bartie”) NARRAMORE
Set As Default Person -
Name Bartholomew (“Bartie”) NARRAMORE Relationship
with Teresa Ann GOATHAM Born Est 1595 - Estimated from date of marriage (which would suggest later) and father's claimed dob (from age on his gravestone).
Marrying in 1631 Bartholomew could have been born in the early C17th, but as he was made a feoffee of an Ideford charity in 1626 I would guess he is unlikely to have been born much after 1606 (I don't know if there was a minimum age; a 19 year old appears to have one of those appointed in 1745).
A "Bartholomew Northmore" named as a son in the will of his father; I believe it can only be this Bartholomew.
Gender Male Protestation oath From 1641 to 1642 Bishopsteignton, Devon, England
- Bartholomew was Parish Constable at the time of the Protestation oath.
Info. from the Devon Heritage website
Tax records 1660 Bishopsteignton, Devon, England
Poll tax - £35 Probate 1663 - Fry's Calendar (Consistory Court) shows a "Narramore, Bartholomew, Teinton Episcopi [Bishopsteignton]" left a will, probate granted 1663. I think it likely to have been this Bartholomew.
a Richard Narramore of "Teignton Bishop" left will, probate granted 1744 - may be descendant of this Bartholomew.
Residence Abt 1663 Bishopsteignton, Devon, England
- The Probate shows he was living in Bishopsteignton at the time of his death
Buried 1663 St. John the Baptist Church, Bishopsteignton, Devon, England
- Gravestone still survives in the churchyard.

Father Walter NARRAMORE, [Parents?], b. Abt 1560, bur. 20 Apr 1659, St. Mary the Virgin Church, Ideford, Devon, England
(Age ~ 99 years)
Other Partners: Joan WILCOCKS m. 25 Feb 1640/41Married - Given the gaps between their estimated births Walter and his first wife may well have had more children who didn't survive infancy; the 3 shown are known of through their father Walter's will. And there is no evidence that Walter had only one wife before Joan Wilcox - he could easily have had 2 or more, and Bartholomew, Thomazine and Ibbott may not have shared a mother.
