"[blank] the dafter of Bartholamew Maticott and Elizabeth his wife was born the 14 day and baptised May 21st 1721" (clearly the register has been transcribed at some point; the Christian name must have been unreadable or even that part of the page missing)
Although BTs survive supposedly for the year 1721 [OS] there is no Mattacott baptism; often the years weren't precise, continuing until the BT would have been collected at the annual visitation (soon after Easter). Perhaps this baptism was with the 1720 events; the BT for that year does not survive.
