    • Vincent clearly lived in Chislet parish, probably at Musden where his daughter Joane was borne in 1609.
Old references to Musden in Chislet include one in an abstract of the will of one Nicholas ALEYN, written 1494/95, in which he mentions a son Vincent. This fairly unusual name suggests Vincent HOYARD may have been living where ancestors had lived for at least a few generations.
    Notes
    • Not sure of surname spelling, Hoiard also found, but from his will and the burial of his widow it would appear to be a variant of Hayward (or a Dutch name Anglicized to Hayward? perhaps the 'hoi' part refers to the boats called 'hoys' in English but which derive their names from the Dutch)
