Using <a class=\"glossaryLink\"  aria-describedby=\"tt\"  data-cmtooltip=\"&lt;div class=glossaryItemTitle&gt;KFHS&lt;\/div&gt;&lt;div class=glossaryItemBody&gt;Abbreviation for the Kent Family History Society.&amp;lt;br \/&amp;gt;Website&amp;lt;br \/&amp;gt;Many references on this website are to PR data indexed by the KFHS.&lt;\/div&gt;\"  href=\"https:\/\/teresa-goatham.me.uk\/genealogy\/glossary\/kfhs\/\"  data-gt-translate-attributes='[{\"attribute\":\"data-cmtooltip\", \"format\":\"html\"}]'  tabindex='0' role='link'>KFHS<\/a> CDs, census entries and the new Family Search website (aka IGI) I was able to extend her tree quite quickly &ndash; though in most cases the original <a class=\"glossaryLink\"  aria-describedby=\"tt\"  data-cmtooltip=\"&lt;div class=glossaryItemTitle&gt;PR&lt;\/div&gt;&lt;div class=glossaryItemBody&gt;Abbreviation for Parish Register, these registers recording baptism, marriage and burial data and are particularly useful before the introduction of birth, marriage and death registration in 1837.&amp;lt;br \/&amp;gt;Occasionally other kinds information can be found, &amp;lt;em&amp;gt;e.g.&amp;lt;\/em&amp;gt; confirmation.&amp;lt;br \/&amp;gt;Entries vary, both with different requirements over time and according to the whim of the person who entered the data. The details that vary include whether or not ages are given for burials, occupation in all entries (of father(...)&lt;\/div&gt;\"  href=\"https:\/\/teresa-goatham.me.uk\/genealogy\/glossary\/pr\/\"  data-gt-translate-attributes='[{\"attribute\":\"data-cmtooltip\", \"format\":\"html\"}]'  tabindex='0' role='link'>PR<\/a> entries (or images of them) have still to be checked.<\/p>\n<p>Most interesting in this line was to discover I am descended from a Huguenot family in Canterbury. Given the closeness of Bridge, where I knew the family were, to Canterbury, and the number of Huguenots \/ Walloons who settled in the city it&rsquo;s not really surprising, though I hand&rsquo;t really thought about the possibility. From the work of other researchers I can see that the Charrosin family came from Puy Sec, about 30 miles from La Rochelle, in France.
