In the name of god amen  the ixth<\/sup> day of aprull in the
\nxxviith<\/sup> yere of the raigne of our sovergne lady Elizabeth
\nby the grace of god Quene of England France and
\nIreland defender of the faithe &c Anno a thousand five
\nhundrethe fowre score and five [1585] of Richard Gotham<\/a><\/strong> of
\nthe parishe of Chartham sick in body but of p[er]fecte
\nmemory praised by god doe make this my last will and
\ntestament nu[n]cupative following First I Comend my
\nsowle into the hande of god and my body to the grounde
\nfrom whence yt came therto continew untill the coming
\nof christe to judgement at which tyme I beleve that
\nbody and sowle joyned together I shall enjoy eternall
\nliffe by christe   Item I give unto Cicely my wiffe
\nmy howse at mystole with the appurtencs during her
\nnaturall liffe and after her decease to my fowre sonnes ~
