\nIn the name of God Amen<\/strong>
\nthe fourth day of October in the yeare of our Lord One
\nThousand six hundred Eighty and three And in the xxxvth<\/sup>.
\nyeare of our most gratious Soveraigne Lord Charles the
\nsecond now king of England &c I Mary Devervaque of the
\nparish of St<\/sup>. Alphage within the City of Canterbury widow
\nbeing sicke and weake in body yett of sound minde &
\nperfect memory considering the uncertainty of this mortall
\nlife & for the quieting of my minde and to prvent any
\ndifferences betwixt my Relacon<\/span>s I doe hereby make &
\nordaine this my last will and Testament in manner &
\nforme following (that is to say) First I comend my
\nSoul into the hands of Almighty God my Creator trusting
\nand faithfully beleeving for Salvacon through the
\nmerritts of Jesus Christ my Redeemer And my body I
\n[p.2]
\ncomi<\/span>tt to the earth to be decently buryed att the
\ndiscretion of my Executor hereafter named And for
\nmy temporall Estate which it hath pleased God to
\nblesse me withall in this world I give and dispose
\nthereof as herein after is expressed vizt I give &
\nbequeath to the poor of the walloon Congregacon<\/span>
\nin Canterbury the sume<\/span> of tenne shillings to be paid
\nby my Executor within one month after my decease
\ninto the hands of the Deacons or Collectors for the poor
\nof the said Congregacon<\/span> to be distributed by them
\namongst the said poor Item I give unto Mary Potton
\nDaughter of John John[1] Potton my neece one large
\njoyned chest to be delivered unto her by my Executor
\nwithin one month next after my decease And alsoe I
\ngive ^ {to} the said Mary Potton two of my largest peeces
\nof God to be delivered to her by my said Executor
\nhereafter named within one month next after my
\ndecease Item I give & bequeath unto my Godsonne
\nPeter Leggle son of Christopher Leggle decea<\/span>[se]d<\/span> one
\nsilver cup with two ears now in my possession to be
\ndelivered to him by my Executor herein afternamed
\nwithin one month next after my decease Item I give
\nand bequeath unto my Nephew Isaac Wantier of the
\nparish of All Sts<\/sup>. Canterbury one third parte of ^ {all} the Rest
\nof my goods chattles credits ready mony household stuffe
\nor personall Estate whatsoever the whole being in three
\nparts equally divided, Alsoe I give & bequeath unto my
\nneece Mary Potton aforesaid one other third part of
\nall my goods chattles credits ready mony householdstuffe
\nand personall Estate whatsoever the whole being divided
\ninto three partes as a foresaid, Alsoe I give & bequeath
\nunto my two neeces Mary Dulplanch wife of Lewis
\nDulplanch and Margaret Pravo to be equally devided
\nbetween them two, the other ^ {third} part of all my goods chattles
\ncredits ready mony householdstuffe & personall Estate
\nwhatsoever the whole being devided into three parts as
\naforesaid All which partes and shares shalbe devided
\n& deliv[er]ed to each partye within three monthes next
\nafter my decease by my Executor hereafter named
\nItem it is my minde & will that my Executor hereafter
\nnamed shall before any division be made ^ {of} my said
\npersonall Estate be allowed my funeral expences

\nProbate of this my will my debts which I owe to any
\nperson or persons whatsoever and all other charges:
\nhe shall necessarily be putt to in the due Execucon<\/span> of
\nthis my will And it is my further minde & will And I doe
\nhereby order and appoint my Executor hereinafter
\nnamed to pay and deliver into the hands of my good
\nfriend Mrs<\/sup>. Magdalen Manneke widow all such parte
\nor share as upon the division to be made as aforesaid
\nshalbe the proportion of my aforesaid neece Margaret
\nPravo within three monthes next after my decease as
\naforesaid, And she the said Mrs<\/sup>. Manneke to give it
\nto the said Margaret Pravo as she in her best
\ndiscretion shall judge fitt and as her wants require it
\nAnd of this my prsent last will and Testament contained
\nin three sheetes of paper I make & ordaine constitute
\n& appoint my aforesaid nephew Isaac Wantier my
\nwhole and sole Executor and earnestly desire & charge
\nhim to be faithfull in the Execucon<\/span> thereof And I doe
\nhereby revoke disanul frustrate & make void all
\nformer wills either by word of mouth or in writeing by
\nme att any time heretofore made And doe publish &
\ndeclare this onely to be had & taken for my last will
\n& Testament In witnesse whereof I have hereunto
\nsett my hand and seale dated the day & yeare before
\nfirst written The marke of Mary Defervaque ^ {the Testatrix} Signed
