In the name of god Amen,<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

the fourtenth day of October in the yeares of the<\/p>\n

reigne of or sov[er]eigne Lord James by the grace<\/p>\n

of God kinge of England, France, and Ireland<\/p>\n

defendr<\/sup>. of the fayth &c the thirteenth and of Sc=<\/p>\n

=otland the nyne and fortith I Jane Halke<\/p>\n

of the p[ar]ishe of Bircholt in the County of Kent<\/p>\n

widdowe beinge of good and p[er]fect remembrance<\/p>\n

I prayse god therfore doe make this my last will<\/p>\n

and testament in manner and ^ {forme} following, First<\/p>\n

I Comend my sowle unto Allmightie god my only<\/p>\n

savior<\/sup> and redeemer, my body to be buryed after<\/p>\n

the manner of Christians in such sorte and place<\/p>\n

as to my executor<\/sup> shalbe thought meete, Touching<\/p>\n

the disposicon of all my moveable goods, Chattels<\/p>\n

and money, whatsoevr<\/sup>, Firste I doe give unto my<\/p>\n

sonne William Halke the some of ten pounds<\/p>\n

of lawfull money of England he to staye the same<\/p>\n

out of that money wch<\/sup> is remayinge in his hands<\/p>\n

and hereafter is expressed Item I further give<\/p>\n

unto the said William Halke one Little table<\/p>\n

my gould ringe, and ten shillings in money more<\/p>\n

in respecte he shall putt this and his ri^{n}ge wch<\/sup><\/p>\n

he now weareth in one ringe, Item I doe give<\/p>\n

to Elizabeth Halke his now wyfe the some of<\/p>\n

ten shillings of Like money, Item I doe give<\/p>\n

to Elizabeth Halke, Jane Halke and Agnes Halke<\/p>\n

daughters of my said sonne William Halke<\/p>\n

to each of them the som<\/u>e of twenty shillings<\/p>\n

of like money to be payd to them wt<\/sup>hin six weeks<\/p>\n

next after my decease Item I doe give unto<\/p>\n

my daughter Alice Smyth als<\/u> Browne one<\/p>\n

livery Cubbard and my best gowne;<\/p>\n

Item I doe give to my dayghter Jane Morrice<\/p>\n

the wyfe of Richard Morrice my beesteddle<\/p>\n

one fetherbed one fether boulster one flockbed<\/p>\n

one pare of pillowes, three blanketts wherof two<\/p>\n

of them ar white, the other red, one payer of Cur=<\/p>\n

=taynes and one Coverlett, Item I give to Gedyon<\/p>\n

Osborne and [blank space] Osborne sister of the said<\/p>\n

Gedyon children of he daughter of Elizabeth<\/p>\n

Gray my sister these p[ar]cells followinge, vizt<\/sup> to<\/p>\n

Gedyon Osborne the some of twenty shillings of<\/p>\n

like ^ {lawfull} money and to [blank space] Osborne his sister my<\/p>\n

stuffe gowne and my best petycote. Item I doe<\/p>\n

give unto ev[er]y one of the daughters of Alice<\/p>\n

Smyth als<\/u> Browne my said daughter the<\/p>\n

som<\/u>e of twenty ^ {three} shillings and fower pence of like<\/p>\n

money, And to all the Children of my daughter<\/p>\n

Jane Morrice to each of them the some of twenty<\/p>\n

shillings of like money to be putt forth by my<\/p>\n

executor<\/sup> for ther best advantages and the same<\/p>\n

to be payd to them and either of them at ther<\/p>\n

severall ages of xxitie<\/sup> yeares or dayes of ther<\/p>\n

marryages, Item I doe give to the poore of the<\/p>\n

p[ar]ishes of Braborne and Bircholt the some of<\/p>\n

ten shillings in money Item I doe ^ {further} give to my<\/p>\n

said sonne William Halke the som<\/u>e of three<\/p>\n

pounds of like money in respect that he shall<\/p>\n

see my body buryed and my fuenerall expences<\/p>\n

discharged. The residue of my moveable goods<\/p>\n

Chattles and money whatsoever not before given<\/p>\n

or bequeathed I give unto the said Alice Smyth<\/p>\n

als<\/u> Browne, and Jane Morrice my daughters<\/p>\n

to be equally shifted and devided betweene<\/p>\n

them, and for asmuch as ther is more remayning<\/p>\n

in the hands of my said sonne William Halke<\/p>\n

the some of one hundred pounds in money my<\/p>\n

meaninge is that the said William Halke<\/p>\n

shall pay wt<\/sup>hin six weeks next after my decease<\/p>\n

unto the said Richard Morrice above expressed<\/p>\n

the some of thirtie pounds of lawfull money of<\/p>\n

England and the residue remayinge to be<\/p>\n

payd unto him the said Richard Morrice yearly<\/p>\n

by twenty pounds by the yeare untill the remainder<\/p>\n

be fully payd And I doe appoynt the said<\/p>\n

Richard Morrice to pay the some yearly to my<\/p>\n

said daughters Alice Smyth als<\/u> Browne<\/p>\n

and Jane Morrice equally betweene them and<\/p>\n

if the said Alice Smyth als<\/u> Browne doe<\/p>\n

happen to decease this mortall lyfe before<\/p>\n

the money be all payd and satisfyed wch is<\/p>\n

or shalbe due to her for her portion by this<\/p>\n

my will willed and bequeathed, then I will<\/p>\n

and my meaninge is that such money goods and<\/p>\n

Chattles whatsoever to her before in this my<\/p>\n

will willed or bequeathed shalbe equally devided<\/p>\n

betwene the daughters of the said Alice Smyth<\/p>\n

als<\/u> Browne the saide to be payd to them and<\/p>\n

either of them at such tyme or tymes as ther<\/p>\n

sev[er]all legacies in this my will ar expressed<\/p>\n
