John Wright TRANT<\/a> was the son of Philip Trant, Philip probably being the brother, else first cousin of my ancestor William Trant (i.e.<\/em> John is either my 1st cousin 5 x removed, or a 2nd cousin 5 x removed)<\/p>\n

This is the last Will and Testament<\/strong>
\nof me John Wright Trant<\/em> of the Borough of Devonport in the County of
\nDevon House Carpenter and Joiner I give and bequeath all my household furniture
\nplate linen china And all other my Personal Estate and Effects<\/em> whatsoever
\nand of what nature fins(?) or quality soever the same may be at the time of my
\ndecease unto my Wife Ann Trant<\/a> And I hereby appoint my said Wife Executrix
\nof this my Will In witness whereof I the said John Wright Trant have hereunto
\nset my hand this twelfth day of September One thousand eight hundred and
\nthirty nine – John Wright Trant<\/em> – Signed by the said John Wright Trant
\nin the presence of us who at his request and in the presence of each
\nother have subscribed our names as witnesses – J. K. Baldy – Thos<\/sup>. Hawker<\/em>
\nSolicitor Devonport.<\/em><\/div>\n
Proved<\/strong> at London 16th. November 1849 before the Judge by the Oath
\nof Ann Trant widow the Relict the sole Executrix to who Admon was granted
\nhaving been first sworn by Com[mission]on duly to administer.<\/div>\n

The will was proved in the Prerogative Court of Canterbury<\/a> and is held at the National Archives.<\/p>\n
