  	From age in burial register. At the time of her marriage Elizabeth was of Churchstow, but there was no baptism of an Elizabeth Garland there in c. 1746-7. An Elizabeth Garland was baptised in South Pool late in 1746. If at an earlier stage in her life she had lived in South Pool this could be how she knew Richard. An Elizabeth Garland was buried in South Pool in 1747; was that of the baby born the previous year, ruling her out as this Elizabeth? No description is given but unlike the previous 2 entries she is not shown as 'infant' so it may well be chance, and the burial of an older Elizabeth Garland.
