But there were also other Lavers families in the neighbouring parish of Slapton. An Elias was married there in 1762, probably the one baptised in Blackawton. Had John and Elizabeth had children elsewhere before those baptised in Blackawton? And was the John baptised in 1747 in Slapton their child? (If so, it would suggest that my guess that John born c. 1727 was there son is wrong)
