      Shown as born 1 Mar 1889 in the 1939 registration!
      The 1911 census is consistent with the birth registration I believe to be hers, age shown as 27 on the census form, which I think was filled in by Em herself (not the same writing as the signature by the head of household - her mother, the only other person present, but like other handwriting I have of Aunt Em)
      I suspect she may have 'adjusted' her age on marrying a man 6 years her junior! If so, she was probably honest about it later on, as the correct age was given when her death was registered, I expect by one of her children.

      Witness John Inman could have been Em's uncle, who lived in Margate. I understand it was staying with her uncle and his family in Margate (her cousin, my grandmother, Maggie Inman and Em were good firends) that Em and Percy met. However, it is rather different from his signature when he married in 1872, so I think it was most likely the signature of her cousin John Inman, son of her uncle John (I haven't seen his signature of even his handwriting).
