    • I understood Auntie Marjorie had always lived at the same house, but the CWGC gives her mother's address (in the 1920s as 48 Courtenay Street). However, 28 a was where Marjorie was born and she and her mother were there at the time of the 1939 registration, so I think 48 was an error.

    Notes
    • As well as being a relative "Auntie" Marjorie was one of my Godmothers.

Auntie Majorie lost 2 uncles, brothers of her mother (Charles Partleton, 1885 - 1917, and Arthur Partleton, 1893 - 1917), in the First World War as well as her father.

With a number of Partleton-side aunts and uncles, Marjorie had qutie a few first cousins, a number were very close to her in age. Most were born in Wandsworth (i.e. quite close to where Marjorie lived most of her life). I know Auntie Marjorie talked of a cousin Charles (died 2 years before her) but appears to have surprisingly little (if any) contact with the rest - although a number lived into the 21st century. Thus she named my Dad, a second cousin, as not only her executor but also her next-of-kin in her final illness.
