Ann Kezia Kellond nee Wise The wife of Edwin Kellond (1841 - 1898) Although both Ann and her husband were born in Slapton they married in Kensington Reg Dist, and appear to have spent all of their married life in London. However, sometime during her long widowhood (just over 40 years) Ann seems to have returned to Slapton, where she is buried with her mother. Her mother outlived her husband by 12 years, so she may have returned to live with her mother for company - Edwin and Ann seem to have had no children - or it may have been a need to take care of her mother that brought her back to the village. |
