Shown as abode Exmouth, aged 69

Although the age does not agree, it is clearly wrong, as it was obviously the Robert whose death was reported in the newspaper as being in his 80th year, and family wills show the link to the Stokenham family.
    Bequest £300
    1884
    • When his brother Thomas Efford Issell wrote his will in 1870 he left £300 to Robert, but only after his (TEI's) wife's death. This didn't occur until 1884, after Robert had also died so it would have been his beneficiaries who received the money, according to the terms of his own will.
"I give and bequeath unto my Brother Robert Isssell the sum of Three hundred pounds"
