Occupation 1831 Slapton Cellars, Slapton, Devon, England Inn keeper - According to "400 Years in Torcross" (p131) an inn was built by the cottages at Slapton Cellars in 1831, and one John Stabb became the inn keeper. This explains why his widow, Wilmot, and son were living there at the time of the 1841 census, although it was Wilmot's second husband to be, Thomas Efford Issell, who was then inn keeper.
