    • Though this is the only burial in Stokenham to fit in the period 1813 - 1837, Sarah could have been buried elsewhere, or died earlier or later. She seems to have died before her sister Susanna wrote her will on 28 July 1836, since her children are left bequests but not Sarah herself, which this also fits with.

      There was another Sarah Issell, dau of John Issell and Joan nee Shepherd, bapt 20 Aug 1749 who would have been of an appropriate age to have married Solomon,  but the will of Sarah's sister Susanna (marr name Efford) makes it clear that it was Sarah, daughter of Hugh and Joanna, who married him.
