Name John EMMERSON Relationship with Teresa Ann GOATHAM Born Abt 1831 Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Northumberland, England - Parents abode given as Benwell when he was bapt but his birthplace shown as Newcastle on Tyne on 1851 census.
Shown as age 10 in the 1841 census, as was Eleanor. My guess is there wasn't too big a gap between these; as they don't appear to have been baptised at the same time I don't think they were twins (unless Eleanor's life had been at risk and she had been baptized privately).
Baptised 5 Nov 1831 St. John’s Church, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Northumberland, England - abode at time was Benwell
Gender Male Died Yes, date unknown Siblings 2 brothers and 3 sisters Patriarch & Matriarch George EMMERSON, b. Est 1695, Co. Durham, England , d. 1745 (Age ~ 50 years) (3 x Great Grandfather)
Jane CRAM, b. Abt 1803, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Northumberland, England , d. Sep Q 1856, Chester-le-Street Reg Dist, Co. Durham, England (Age ~ 53 years) (Mother)Notes - 1851 census is slightly confused - John is shown in a separate household to his parents, the one after them, but as son rather than head! And with him is 9mth old Agnes - "dau" his or his parents? Although the married column appears to show a w I think this is a u or n for unmarried or no (I think this due to looking at other entries - all young people with parents have this, including daus sharing their parents surname; a widower has the full word). But last child I know of his parents having was 1836 so whilst they weren't quite too old it seems unlikely they'd have another. Was it an illegitimate grandchild being brought up as theirs?
Agnes was shown as born in Longbenton, which was in Tynemouth Reg Dist; this birth fits:
GRO ref: Emerson, Agnes, Sep q 1850 - Tynemouth RD 25 463
Pos death: Emmerson, Agnes Sep q 1853 - Gateshead 10a 262
If John was married or a widower in 1851, was his marriage the John on the page rep below?

Emmerson John Newcastle upon Tyne 25 309
PARKER William Newcastle T. 25 309
ROBINSON Coulson Newcastle Tyne 25 309 - (Research):A John born about 1831 in Northumberland was with a family in Killingworth in 1871, working as a gardener. Whilst that would fit this John finding the same family in 1881 seems to show that that John was born in Rothbury which clearly does not fit with this John.
No sign of a good fit - maybe he had died or emigrated
