Name Elizabeth Ann GOATHAM Relationship with Teresa Ann GOATHAM Born Jun Q 1847 Davington, Kent, England - GRO ref: Goatham, Elizabeth Ann q2 1847 Faversham RD 5 165; GRO online index shows mother's maiden name as Houghton.
Actual birthplace from censuses - Faversham (1901), Davington (1871)
Baptised 3 Jun 1847 St. Mary Magdalene’s Church, Davington, Kent, England - From PR entry, viewed on microfilm in the Canterbury Cathedral Archives

(Archive reference U3/138)
Gender Female Education Scholar 1861 Residence 1871 Faversham, Kent, England - With parents in Faversham at the time of the 1871 census, husband not present, "shipwright wife", with her son Being with her parents after being married shows it is this Elizabeth Ann who married William Richmond, (another Elizabeth Ann Goatham married in Southwark in 1874).
Residence 1911 59, Northampton Road, Croydon, Surrey, England - With her daughter Lottie, a visitor in the home of Charles Jackson and his wife and son at the time of the 1911 census (a 7 room house).
Died Aft 1911 - The best fit for the death of an Elizabeth Ann Richmond would seem to be one who died in q4 1938 aged 91 in Cranbrook RD (2a 1247)
Widowed at the age of 56, Elizabeth could have remarried, though, and not died as a Richmond. However, she hadn't remarried by the time of the 1911 census, and all but one of the marriages of an Elizabeth A Richmond between then and 1927 (when she would have been 80) seem to be in the north of England and the only excpetion was one in Amersham RD and so all very unlikely to be this Elizabeth.

GRO ref: Goatham, Elizabeth Ann to RICHMOND, William q2 1870 Faversham RD 2a 1031
A double marriage with that of Elizabeth's sister Sophia taking place at the same time.
Info from a notice in the "Whitstable Times and Herne Bay Herald" - Saturday 16 April 1870 (p.4, col. 5, under heading 'Marriages').
"Davinton - April 14, at Davington Church, Mr. Wm. Richmond, of Davington, to Miss Elizabeth Ann Goatham, of Faversham; also, at the same time and place, Mr. Thomas Inge, of Davington, to Miss Sophia Goatham, of Faversham."
The 1911 census shows that Elizabeth and William had had 7 children, and that 6 were then still living.
(While there was another Richmond baby buried in Norwood Cemetery in 1886, aged 9 mths, and this would fit a gap between Elizabeth and Wm's children, the 1911 census info and the child's abode show she was not the child of Eliz. and Wm)
