Notes - Living in Bexon Lane in 1881. Their home was nearly demolished to make way for the rly (see Bredgar book p.130)
Amos and his wife Mary were living with their grandson Albert George at the time of the 1911 census, still in Bexon Lane, Bredgar. Both were by then old age pensioners, Amos being recorded as "formerly farm labourer".
The 1911 census confirms that they just had the one child, but it appears that they brought up their first grandson, Maria's illegit. son. She went on to give them 6 more grandsons, no granddaughters, after marrying!
